Pet Playing for Placemaking
2020 - 2021

In collaboration with Cherished Pets Community Veterinary Care, this project sought to reduce older adult social isolation through a pet-centric and place-based game. Building on the World Health Organisation (2020) recognition of the benefit of gameplay during COVID-19 restrictions for social inclusion, the resulting location-based game drew on the power of pets to connect people and incorporates physical and digital elements to make pet responsibility a playful, social and community activity.
